What are essential to be a Muslim? For someone to be a Muslim, he or she will have to believe in the following three things: -
Oneness of Allah - that is Allah is one and there is no partner to Him. None shares in His attributes. -
Prophet Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and he is the last of Allah's Messengers. -
Day of Judgment - that all people will be raised up one day and will be judged by Allah as to what they have done. Those who had done good deeds will be rewarded by Allah and those who had harmed their souls will be punished by Him unless they had repented before their death.
